It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs Cecilia Sandrasekara (Selvamalar) on 7th November 2025, in Scarborough, Canada.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Mariampillai Muthuthamby and the late Annamma Muthuthamby.

Devoted wife of the late Dr. James Sandrasekara.

Cecilia was cherished as the loving sister of the late Mr. Vincent Rajadurai and the late Mrs. Rose Bastiampillai.

Sister-in-law of the late Mr. Bastiampillai, Rosaline Rajadurai, the late Mrs. Susan Soosapillai, Mrs. Regina Gregory, and the late Mrs. Bridget Donbosco.

She will be lovingly remembered as the devoted mother of Josephine Shanthini, Marinet Lalinie, Joseph Chandran, the late Justin Suresh, Linet Maithirini, Dr. Judit Kumuthini, and Dr. Anton James.

Beloved mother-in-law of Anton Gnanamithran, Francis Villavarasingam (Rasa), Lalitha, and Sharlini.

Adored grandmother of Dr. Andriya, Dr. Arnanthi, Dr. Sinthiya, Rajan, James, Cecil, Natasha, Divina, Christopher, Tiana, Ealan, and Aryan.

Cherished by the spouses of her grandchildren: Piraventh, Nishankar, Prathip and beloved great-grandmother of Nayagan, Ravanan, Oscar, Theo, Ilekiya, and Saeran.

Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
